How did you meet your wife?

I was introduced to her by a mutual friend in May 1981. That friend and I were meeting for coffee and she brought Janie along. I invited the two of them to go with me the next day as I took my teenage daughter and her friends to Disney World. We began dating soon after that.

What is my greatest joy in ministry?

My greatest joy is found in introducing someone to the Lord Jesus Christ, and then watching them grow spiritually!

What do I enjoy doing in my free time?

Reading books! Tom Clancy, W. E. B. Griffin and John Grisham are some of my favorites. I also enjoy watching Good Western and Good War Movies. Now that I have an Alexa Echo, I am enjoying a lot of music.

If you could invite anyone in history to your Birthday Party, who would it be?

I don’t know any one in history personally, but I have many old Navy friends from those days, and many good Christian friends from all over that I would like to see once more!

What is your life verse?

John 15:4 - “Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless you abide in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me”

What is your favorite passage in the Bible?

Luke 3:16 - “John answered, saying to all, 'I indeed baptize you with water, but one mightier than I is coming, whose sandal strap I am not worthy to loose. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and with fire”

What kind of music do I like to listen to?

My favorite kind of music is Southern Gospel, but I also like Three Dog Night, Bob Dylan, Neil Diamond, Merle Haggard, Willie Nelson, and Dolly Parton a whole lot!

If you could visit any country and share the Gospel, where would you go?

I don’t know. Maybe I would go to Mexico or Guatamala, or the Philippines. I would go somewhere they want to hear about Jesus, but rarely get the chance to do so.
